Royal King Genetics — first-party test batch

Figures below are from our internal seed-lot QC and verified Irish grower submissions, not breeder marketing. Determined from a single batch tested 2026-09-09 on 375 seeds at 20-23°C.

Germination rate: 98.7% (n=375)
Last QC test date: 2026-09-09
Indoor yield: 470-606 g/m² (avg across 6 verified grower reports)
Outdoor yield, Ireland: 434-704 g/plant (avg across 5 verified grower reports)

About Aberdeen Auto

Aberdeen carries caryophyllene as its lead note: peppercorn and warm timber, dry rather than sweet, catching slightly at the back of the throat. Myrcene sits beneath it and shows up second, adding weight and body underneath. The plant tests at 15% THC across a 40/60 split, though what decides whether any of this reaches the jar is the cure, not the seed.

Growing it for aroma

Growing Aberdeen for terpene expression and growing it for weight are not the same project, and it is worth deciding which one you are on. The Caryophyllene/Myrcene/Humulene profile does its best work in living soil, where the biology produces compounds a bottle does not contain. Good peat-free compost and worm castings are available in any garden centre here, which makes that approach far less specialist than it sounds.

Stop foliar spraying after the second week of bloom. Anything that lands on a developing trichome is still there at harvest and is tasted rather than seen. In the last three weeks the night temperature decides which terpenes lead: held at 16-18°C the caryophyllene comes forward, while a warmer finish protects the lighter humulene notes.

Then the cure, which is where Irish growers lose most of what they built. A ten to fourteen day hang wants 17°C and something near 58% humidity, and the ambient air here will not supply either for most of the year — a closed room and a small dehumidifier will. Into glass afterwards, burped twice daily for a fortnight. The myrcene layer arrives somewhere in weeks three and four, not before.

Flowering: 45-55 days. Indoor yield: up to 450 g/m2. Outdoor yield: up to 550 g/plant. Plant height: 90-120 cm. Medium. Rated moderate difficulty.

What Aberdeen is like in practice

The catalogue lists relaxed, happy, euphoric, and that matches what growers here report back. At 15% THC this hybrid sits where the balance is the argument for it. Small doses stay functional, larger ones relax properly, and the 40/60 split means the direction is set by the amount rather than fixed by the plant. The Caryophyllene and Myrcene together leave warmth and spice, drying on the exhale.

Suited to most occasions, with the dose doing the steering.

Terpene breakdown

Primary: Caryophyllene · Secondary: Myrcene · Tertiary: Humulene. Temperature decides how much of this profile survives. Low vaporisation at 180-188°C keeps myrcene and humulene audible over the caryophyllene; run it hotter, or burn it, and all three collapse into one note that is pleasant enough and tells you nothing.

Who it suits

Aberdeen suits growers with the fundamentals in place. Understand pH, rough nutrient ratios and a light cycle before committing to it; it asks for competence rather than expertise. Autoflowering genetics remove the light schedule from the equation, which matters in a shed or a spare room where full darkness is not realistic. A bloom of 45-55 days fits inside the season here for outdoor growers, with a tunnel making it comfortable rather than tight.

Aberdeen Auto — Breeder Information

Royal King Genetics

Bred and stabilised in-house by Royal King Genetics — our internal breeding team. Every batch is QC'd and germ-tested above 99% before it ships. Read the full breeding process and about page.

Breeding Programme
Autoflower Stabilisation (F5) — ruderalis trait fixing
Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

Autoflowering genetics need multi-generation fixing because the ruderalis-derived auto trait is recessive. Aberdeen sits at F5 — every plant in the pack autoflowers reliably and finishes inside a tight window.

Breeding Goal

Reach auto trigger and finish-window uniformity for the Aberdeen pack.

Selection Focus

Chosen for trichome density, bud structure and the hybrid trait balance the cross was engineered for.

Pollen / Mother Source

Royal King Genetics breeding facility — pollen from internally selected sibling males of the recurrent parent.
