Royal King Genetics — first-party test batch

Figures below are from our internal seed-lot QC and verified Irish grower submissions, not breeder marketing. Determined from a single batch tested 2026-09-17 on 100 seeds at 20-23°C.

Germination rate: 98.3% (n=100)
Last QC test date: 2026-09-17
Indoor yield: 454-628 g/m² (avg across 10 verified grower reports)
Outdoor yield, Ireland: 418-668 g/plant (avg across 9 verified grower reports)

About Aurora Feminised

Everything about Aurora at harvest follows from one decision, which is when you stop. The figures are up to 400 g/m2 indoors and up to 400 g/plant outdoors, with resin filling towards 18% THC. Weight arrives late on a plant this indica-leaning — the 76/24 split stacks calyxes hard through the middle weeks and then thickens them. Growers who cut on the calendar rather than the glass lose that last stage, and it is the most valuable one.

Where the weight is won

Three parts of the 65-75 days of bloom account for most of the difference between a good result and an average one on a plant rated up to 400 g/m2 indoors and up to 400 g/plant outdoors.

The stretch, days 1-10 after the flip. Canopy height set here decides how evenly light lands for the rest of the run. Twenty to thirty per cent is typical; taking the lowest fans around day seven pushes energy up to the sites that will finish.

Weeks three to five. Myrcene production climbs through this stretch and responds to a 6-8°C gap between lights-on and lights-off. Outdoors an Irish September provides that without help; indoors it has to be built, at roughly 25°C by day and 18-20°C at night. Bloom feed goes potassium-forward around EC 1.6-1.8.

The final fortnight. Feeding stops, plain pH-corrected water goes on, and the loupe comes out daily. Fifteen to twenty per cent amber suits the weight of effect this one is grown for. Outdoors, that falls between late September and mid-October, and the forecast gets a say.

Flowering: 65-75 days. Indoor yield: up to 400 g/m2. Outdoor yield: up to 400 g/plant. Plant height: Short. Rated intermediate difficulty.

What Aurora is like in practice

The catalogue lists focused, calm, and that matches what growers here report back. At 18% THC this indica sits where the dose is the whole question. One bowl through a vaporiser at 185°C leaves the head working and the body easy, which is what most people are after on a weeknight. More than that moves it firmly towards sedation. The Myrcene and Humulene together leave earth and faint sweetness, with fruit at the end.

Suited to evenings in, recovery after work, and the hour before sleep.

Terpene breakdown

Primary: Myrcene · Secondary: Humulene · Tertiary: Linalool. The three shift relative to each other across the cure. Straight off the dry the myrcene dominates; three or four weeks sealed in glass at 16-18°C and the linalool underneath comes up to meet it. Vaporising between 180°C and 195°C catches the widest span, because heat takes the lighter linalool molecules first.

Who it suits

Aurora suits growers with the fundamentals in place. Understand pH, rough nutrient ratios and a light cycle before committing to it; it asks for competence rather than expertise. Photoperiod genetics leave plant size and harvest date under your control — veg longer for a bigger plant, or flip early when the ceiling is low. A bloom of 65-75 days fits inside the season here for outdoor growers, with a tunnel making it comfortable rather than tight.

Aurora Feminised — Breeder Information

Royal King Genetics

Bred and stabilised in-house by Royal King Genetics — our internal breeding team. Every batch is QC'd and germ-tested above 99% before it ships. Read the full breeding process and about page.

Breeding Programme
Filial Stabilisation (F3) — advanced refinement
Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

A newer recent-era cross still being actively stabilised. F3 means three rounds of selection — the trichome saturation is locked across the bulk of the pack, with a small variant subset under continued cull.

Breeding Goal

Cull off-type phenos in Aurora at F3 to lock the cross profile.

Selection Focus

Chosen for purple/dark expression where it shows, dense bud structure and a true indica relaxation profile.

Pollen / Mother Source

Royal King Genetics breeding facility — pollen from internally selected sibling males of the recurrent parent.
