Does Death Star finish outdoors in Ireland? It does, planted out at the end of May and cut by early October. Bloom takes 50-60 days, so the harvest date is set by the calendar far more than by your technique.

What should I expect to take off it? up to 300 g/m2 indoors and up to 250 g/plant outdoors are the published figures, and both assume a full light or a full season plus a root run to match. A tunnel gets you most of the way to the outdoor number; a windowsill will not. At 24% THC the effort is well spent either way.

Is it a sensible first grow? Reasonably. Anyone who has finished one grow will manage this one; it asks for consistency rather than expertise.

Soil or coco? Coco with fertigation at EC 1.4-1.8 through bloom if you are there daily and want speed. Peat-free soil with slow amendments — fish, blood and bone, seaweed meal, rock phosphate — if you are not, and want flavour. Both suit this indica; the deciding factor is your week, not the plant.

How does it handle the weather here? The dense canopy shades itself, which is useful on the handful of genuinely warm days and a liability in a wet week. Mulch the root zone, water early, and keep air moving underneath.

When does bloom feed start? Within a week of the first pistils. The 70/30 balance shifts demand quickly at the transition — phosphorus and potassium up, nitrogen down. Soil growers top-dress; coco and hydro switch formula immediately.

Tunnel, outdoors or indoors? A tunnel is the best value of the three here. Indoors you own the 50-60 days of bloom completely; outdoors the plant gets light no lamp matches and can reach up to 250 g/plant, and pays for it in rain. Flowering: 50-60 days. Death Star arrives in order. The first draw at 24% THC gives earth and musk, coating rather than sharp. The happy, relaxed, sleepy character follows in minutes, as weight behind the eyes that works down through the shoulders. By a quarter of an hour it reads as physical stillness rather than sedation — a strong disinclination to stand up. Two to three hours at a sensible dose. Caryophyllene underneath contributes warmth that keeps it anchored.

Primary: Myrcene · Secondary: Caryophyllene · Tertiary: Linalool. The three shift relative to each other across the cure. Straight off the dry the myrcene dominates; three or four weeks sealed in glass at 16-18°C and the linalool underneath comes up to meet it. Vaporising between 180°C and 195°C catches the widest span, because heat takes the lighter linalool molecules first.

Who does well with Death Star? Back-garden and balcony growers in Dublin, Cork and Galway. Anyone who wants a crop dry and put away before the autumn closes in. Indoor growers short of headroom.
