Growing Medicine Man in Ireland is a question of rain and wind rather than of heat or latitude. Outdoors in a wet spring the slugs do more damage to seedlings than every insect on the plot, and they do it in a single night.

A polytunnel changes the arithmetic on Medicine Man more than any other single purchase. It adds a fortnight at both ends of the season, keeps the rain off the flower during the weeks that matter, and turns a marginal outdoor crop into a reliable one.

The creative, euphoric, relaxed character follows in minutes, as weight behind the eyes that works down through the shoulders. By a quarter of an hour it reads as physical stillness rather than sedation — a strong disinclination to stand up. Two to three hours at a sensible dose. Caryophyllene underneath contributes warmth that keeps it anchored.

Low vaporisation at 180-188°C keeps caryophyllene and linalool audible over the myrcene; run it hotter, or burn it, and all three collapse into one note that is pleasant enough and tells you nothing.
